What's in the Box
Fender Stratocaster electric guitar (3-tone sunburst), strings, picks, a strap, Squier SP-10 amp, a 10-foot cable, a tuner, a gig bag, guitar stand, and an instructional DVD
I bought this guitar for my 14 yr old son. I took everything out of the box and it was all there.(Extra strings, stand, 3-picks, amp, tuner and batteries, case, guitar strap, amp-guitar cord, DVD, two whammy or tremolo bars) I still need to get a set of headphones though. Tuned it up and played for a bit. Nice sound, easy fingering. I have played accoustic guitar for 20+ years but am not experienced with electrics. This seems like a sound and solid Fender guitar. I don't really care for the natural colored neck and head. The fingerboard is a nice color but doesn't look like it is very well sealed(clear coat). This won't be a problem for playing it but makes it look a little unfinished. The rest of the guitar is beautiful. Shiny chrome parts and red body. The color was red not the 3-tone sunburst promised in the description. My son would prefer red anyway.
ReplyDeleteThe amp is more than is needed for a begining guitarist and may be enough for an intermediate player. Lots of sound from a 10" speaker. Adjustment knobs work great and in combination with the guitar knobs one could make a lot of different sounds. The pick-up switch is a nice addition too. Distortion is cool.
